In the wine-growing village of Gedersdorf in Lower Austria's Kremstal, patience and careful handwork allow us to create wines with tension and depth. We respond to our loess-shaped terroir and have farmed organically for more than 20 years. Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner and Riesling form the heart of our range. The result is precise, calm and long-lived wines – a tradition documented in our vinotheque back to the 1940s.
Family as foundation
Mantlerhof is a family estate, shaped by the experience of the generations that came before us and those that will follow. Old walls, deep cellars
Mantlerhof stands in Brunn im Felde, between the Kamp and the Danube, surrounded by mighty loess terraces and fertile plains. This 800-year-old monastic estate has served as the foundation for our vibrant farming enterprise for many generations. Its foundations were laid by the Kuenringer knights and later became part of Admont Abbey. It is a calm, strengthening place from which we look confidently to the future. The present gives tradition new form.
For generations, respect for soil, vine and nature has shaped our work on the estate. Organic farming, patient vinification and continuity within the family are at its heart. This is how we create wines that express their origin clearly in the glass. They speak of loess, cool conditions and living terraces, of careful handwork and gentle treatment in the cellar. Our Grüner Veltliners, Rieslings and Roter Veltliners stand for clarity, depth and tension. They unite tradition and the present: wines of quiet strength, great ageing potential and lasting impression.
