First documented in 1276 as Tyernsteiner — "barren stone". Soil: Hollenburg-Karlstetten conglomerate, alluvial fan of the ancient Traisen, partly clayey loess. Six terraces, planted in 1996. A spicy, structured Riesling with opulence. The conglomerate rock weathering at the surface here gives this Riesling a hearty dose of minerality.
