Roter Veltliner is an earthy old white-wine grape with pale-red berries at full ripeness. A speciality at Mantlerhof with a long tradition. It is the parent of Neuburger, Frühroter Veltliner and Rotgipfler, and was the first grape variety admitted to the Slow Food "Ark of Taste". This Roter Veltliner is classically aged in stainless steel. For the Selection, only the ripest grapes are harvested. A great companion for dishes that are otherwise a challenge to pair (spicy Asian cuisine, game, ragouts…). A touch of residual sweetness. Endless ageing potential! Datasheet on wine & site
