One of the finest sites in the municipality. The "Steindl" sub-parcel often yields outstanding sweet wines. Raw loess soil — in the southern part, the conglomerate of the ancient Traisen surfaces; this near-surface conglomerate lends the wine a mineral edge. The site is sheltered from westerly winds, creating a distinctive microclimate. Planted in 1980 with classic Rheingau Riesling clones. A great Riesling with richness and ageing potential.
