Originally from the Wachau, dedicated to Kristof FERSTL (1805–1888), the ancestor of Margit Mantler-Ferstl in the Wachau. He recovered a bundle of vines from the Danube and planted them; he is credited with spreading this variety. On the occasion of our wedding in 1991 we planted a Neuburger terrace. For several years now it has been a fixture of our range and an important member of our grape family in the Kremstal.
