Etymologically, the name Spiegel ("mirror") suggests "mirroring out" — a particularly favoured spot, or a site that is especially exposed and warm. Spiegel consists of imposing south-facing terraces newly laid out in the winter of 1986/87. We are especially proud of the selection of cuttings for this vineyard, which still goes back to the work of Josef Mantler (1910–1987).
